OFWs protest cut on ‘lifeline budget’

my latest article for POC and my contribution to today’s Blog Action Day.

While Congress approved on third and final reading the P1.64-trillion proposed 2011 budget, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States are up in arms against the almost 50 percent budget cuts for OFW assistance.
