TEXT BACK USA (Text Brigade Against Cheating and Killings) will commence in different states in the US (New York, New Jersey, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Honolulu, and even some parts of Australia!) simultaneously on May 6, 7:30pm (US time). an estimated thousands of our Fil-Am compatriots will be setting up ‘free text centers’ to encourage our fellow kababayans to contact their families, friends and loved ones and ask them to vote for Kabataan Party-list in the coming elections.
here in the homefront, we’ll also be setting up press conferences in Manila and various key urban centers nationwide (Cebu, Davao, Baguio, Iloilo, Laguna) on May 7, 10:30am (Philippine time) to await their texts of support and to announce our deepest appreciation for this effort. read NYCHRP press release here.

where is jonas burgos? jonas burgos, son of late martial law journalist and press freedom advocate jose “joe” burgos, remains missing to this day.
he was abducted by suspected military elements in broad daylight in a fast food court of a bustling mall right in the heart of manila! jonas is an expert agriculturalist and social worker/activist training farmers of Central Luzon. his abduction adds another grim mark to the country’s present culture of impunity. martial law veterans once again link up in protest against jonas’ abduction.
i join the family, friends and comrades of jonas in demanding for his immediate surfacing. ilitaw si jonas burgos ngayon na!
